When the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins play on Sunday, they will meet in a first-round playoff game.
The Eagles, who will host the Philadelphia 76ers in a second-round game, have clinched a playoff spot by beating the Baltimore Ravens 24-21.
But the Redskins, who have lost their last two playoff games, will face the Atlanta Falcons in a wild-card game, the third straight time the two teams have met in the playoffs.
If you want to make the playoffs, you have to beat the Falcons and the Ravens in the wild- card game.
If you beat the Ravens and Falcons in the regular season, you can have a shot at the Super Bowl, but the Eagles and Redskins can’t.
In the NFL playoffs, there are three teams with one playoff spot.
The Eagles, Falcons and Ravens have the most, but there is a tiebreaker between the Eagles in the NFC East and the Redskins in the AFC West.
The Rams and Seahawks are the other two teams with two playoff spots.
The Redskins have won the NFC West three times, but have never advanced to the playoffs in the past four years.
The Falcons have won three of the past six NFC playoff games.
The Ravens, meanwhile, have won four of the last five NFC playoff game, but are missing quarterback Joe Flacco (back) for the first time since 2013.
This will be the fourth time in franchise history that the Redskins and Falcons will meet, and they will have played only twice in the NFL postseason.
The teams are set for the NFC Championship Game on Sunday at 8 p.m.
