Microsoft announced today that it’s bringing its new Music app to iOS and Android devices.
The app will stream music to your device using a proprietary streaming API, Microsoft says, but will work on a variety of platforms, including the iPhone and iPad.
The company says the API lets it add additional features and control what music can be played.
The company says that its music app lets users add artists and playlists to their own music collections, and that it lets users create a personalized playlist of music.
Microsoft says the Music app will work with Spotify, Pandora, and Tidal.
It will also be available for the Xbox Music Pass, which lets you stream your Xbox games and TV shows to a wide variety of devices.
Microsoft’s Music app is available now for free on the Windows Store, and the company says it plans to expand it to Android devices soon.
